lost activation on windows 7 laptop after more than a year. RRS feed

  • call centre less than helpful. wanted proof of purchase. I DON'T HAVE THE RECEIPT. They can see that it was purchased from Dick Smith but refuse to help me. I OWN MY LAPTOP.  the number is on the bottom and I activated it correctly when I purchased this.

    Why did it suddenly loose it's activation. My frustration levels have hit screeming levels. And I read the FAQ's they don't help.

    To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
    Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
    To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
