MS Office Pro 2003 Product Key Not working

Question
-
I had to recently do a recovery of my laptop and I reinstalled MS Office Pro 2003. Now when I got to open one of the programs, ie. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, the Windows installer asks me to complete the set up and asks that I re-enter the 25-character product key; when I do I am told that I did not enter a 'valid' product key and asks that I re-enter. The first few times I thought it was a mistype and my error, however now I have verified that it is entered as it is on the Certifcate of Authenticity. I saw on another post that I should run a diagnostic and I have done that...here are the results of that. Please help and let me know what I need to do to get this repaired! Thank you. Celina

Latin Lady,
I am particularly concerned about the Microsoft Office disc itself not any other other media discs which came with your laptop. Did you purchase MS Office separately or did you purchase MS Office @ the same time the laptop was purchased? I am trying to narrow down a couple things is why I ask. Previously I had mentioned the product key you provided appears to be an Invalid Product Key or unsupported key type. Curious did you maybe input the wrong key such as the Windows Product Key by mistake?
Thank you,

Hello Latin Lady,
It appears you are experiencing two separate issues:
1. Validation Status: Validation Control not Installed
2. Office Status: 101 Not Activated
You mentioned doing a recovery on the laptop. Recovery meaning you performed a fresh installation or a repair of the existing operating system? Please ensure that ALL data is backed up. The system may require a complete hard drive reformat and fresh Windows installation. First plelase try and resolve Windows Validation status. Please visit Microsoft Genuine Advantage – Diagnostic Site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/ . Once you open please click the “Start Diagnostic" button. Click the “Resolve Now” button if/when the tool finds any issues. The tool will, most likely, resolve the issue on its own or will provide you further instructions. Did you receive any error codes or messaging whatsoever pertaining to Windows Validation issues? Please let us know if you did.
Next please provide me with the last 15 digits of the Microsoft Office 2003 product key. I need to analyze more information in order to provide you with assistance. Remember only the last 15 digits not the whole physical key.
Thank you,
Stephen Holm, MS

Thank you Stephen,
I ran the diagnostic and it said that the Windows Validation items were repaired. The only error messages I was getting was when I was trying to use one of the MS office programs and it was asking me to enter the 25 character product key, I haven't noticed ay other errors..
I just tried to activate the programs again, and it is still telling me that I am entering an invalid product key? The last 15 digits of the key are: xxxxx-PPFY6-DGQVV-QVRKQ
I appreciate your help.

Latin Lady,
The product key you provide me appears to be an Invalid Product Key or unsupported key type. Where is the physical product key located @ which you are attempting to use for activating Office? Is the product key on a sticker located on the Office packaging you purchased or located elsewhere?

Hi,
Yes the product code is located on the Certificate of Authentication from the CD's that came with the laptop. I can't understand how it suddenly doesn't work, it is the same MS Office CD's that were originally installed and have been used previously?
