Genuine Advantage says "Office not activated" then says "already activated" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!
A problem with all Office Applications.

Have had this same MSOffice XP Professional on this computer since about 2003.  Have had no troubles that required uninstalling and reinstalling in this time.
The genuine advantage loaded some time last year (I think) and my problems started not long after that.

    What I've experienced...

The Genuine 'star' is now resident in the task bar of my screen.  Clicking on this gives 3 options which I've found to only take me in circles.
The "product not activated" notice comes up every time I open a Office application.
I close the notice, goto Help and Activate Product, which then tells me "This product is already activated".

Went through some of the forums and found the "diagnostic tool" and have run it.

I'll try to include it below as the forum sugests.

As I'm too old to loose any more hair, I hope someone has an answer and, thank you in advance.
