I would start by taking a look at the Microsoft Learning site for Visual Studio 2008
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcts/vstudio/2008/default.mspx
The first exam to take would really by 70-536 since it is required by all the MCTS exams for .NET

Self-Paced Study Guide for 70-536

Self-Paced Study Guide for 70-536 (Second Edition) - Available in October

The only thing I would add to what .rev suggests is to check out the MS Certification website:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/default.mspx
From there you can find out about all your options (although you will probably start with 70-536).
I would also ask around your work and see if there are any study groups forming. Who knows, maybe your company might offer vouchers to help pay for the exams.Monday, July 28, 2008 11:46 PM -
I am a new Instructional Technologist for a Secondary school district. What type of certificate training do you recommend for a former classroom teacher turned techee?Tuesday, July 29, 2008 12:39 AM

That's a pretty broad question. What technology are you experienced in?
