  • I would start by taking a look at the Microsoft Learning site for Visual Studio 2008
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcts/vstudio/2008/default.mspx

The first exam to take would really by 70-536 since it is required by all the MCTS exams for .NET

  • The only thing I would add to what .rev suggests is to check out the MS Certification website:

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/default.mspx

From there you can find out about all your options (although you will probably start with 70-536).

I would also ask around your work and see if there are any study groups forming.  Who knows, maybe your company might offer vouchers to help pay for the exams.

  • I am a new Instructional Technologist for a Secondary school district.  What type of certificate training do you recommend for a former classroom teacher turned techee?

  • That's a pretty broad question.  What technology are you experienced in?
