IIS Virtual Directories with Azure File Storage

Question
-
Hi all.
Not sure where to ask this but I have been stuck on it for a while now and not found an answer.
Basically I have set up an IIS website on an Azure VM, I have also set up a storage account with file storage (hot access) which holds all images for the website on the Azure VM. I have managed to set up the virtual directories in IIS and they test successful, however I just get 404 errors in the site instead of the images.
So I just wanted to check that: 1.what I am trying to do it possible and 2.if I am doing it correctly.
Hope you can help.
Thanks,

I found it :-)
In addition to the links I gave you above which I am pretty sure will solve your needs since the expert there deal with IIS all the time, I FOUND THE OFFICIAL FORUM FOR THE IIS 😀
The IIS team have s separate system which I never knew about and there is forum there for question. Go to the following link:
Note! if you open thread(s) then please follow ALL your thread and respect these who try to help you. If you get answer in one place then it is up to you to go the other interfaced and post the answer you have and clode the thread. I'd try asking for help with IIS here in dedicated forums.

Good day Andy,
According to your description your question is related to managing site in the IIS server. It is not different from IIS on-premises machine except the network firewall which is related to the Virtual Machine vNet - in fact my first guess is that you simply did not opened the vNet Firewall
let me find best forum for you...
BRBBack...
I found many forums in the MSDN which are specifically dealing only with Internet Information Services (IIS), but non of these is in English. For example there is in German, Japanese, Russian, and so on). Since there is non in English then your best forum is according to the operating system since the IIS is built-in app the OS. So you can ask your question here:
Windows Server General Forum:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=winservergenAnd since the issue related to the Azure Virtual Machine and probably re,lated to the vNet, you can ask the question in the new Virtual Machine forum as well:
https://docs.microsoft.com/answers/topics/azure-virtual-machines.html
