It sounds as if the Software Licensing service may be badly corrupted - so badly that it can't cope with the errors generated on the Validation site.

Please download, save,  and run the MGADiag tool - and post the report back in your response. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

After creating the report,  try a repair of the system files -
Click on Start, then type in the search box
    CMD.EXE
wait for the search to find 'cmd.exe', then right-click on it, and select Run as Administrator.
    at the prompt, type
    SFC   /SCANNOW
    and hit the Enter key.
wait for the scan to complete, and then make a note of the final message but don't worry if it says that it can't fix everything - mine always does!

Reboot, and run MGADiag again, and post the results back here
Then try repairing the Software Licensing Service -

Make sure that the Software Licensing Service is running, then try the steps
below that force Windows to recreate (and repopulate the data in) it's
    Licensing Store.

    1) Click Start button.
    2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
    3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
    5) Type: cd
    %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    8) Type: net start sppsvc
    9) Type: slui.exe
    10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may
be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may
    occur automatically.

    Repost another MGADiag report

With any luck that should fix it - and it will at least give us good information to go on.

    HTH - and Good Luck!

Please repost your own problem to your OWN NEW thread - and a copy of your own MGADiag report.
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

  • Use the Ask a Question button at the top of the forum page and NOT the reply button in the thread.  The reply button is for discussing the original poster's issue, not your new one.  Even if it were the same issue (it isn't), it not YOUR issue.

Having said that, your copy of Windows is fraudulent.  It purports to be factory installed but your computer was built in 2006 and Windows 7 did not release to manufacturing until 2009.  Restore the original XP or purchase a retail copy of Windows 7.  If you want details post in a new thread.
