I cannot activate WinXP Pro after bios update from motherboard mfr site

Question
-
I want to install Windows 8 on my Systemax Venture B930 that had WinXP Pro loaded by the manufacturer. Windows Upgrade Asst told me that I had to update bios to enable PAE/NX. I enabled NX in my bios, but still could not install the Win8 upgrade. I went to the motherboard manufacturer site and downloaded the bios update from there. The bios installed properly, but now I cannot activate WinXP Pro. I tried phone activation, but the recording said that the activation code was incorrect and disconnected me.
How can I get WinXP Pro activated on this computer - or better yet, get the upgrade installed? But I can imagine that if the XP Pro is not recognized than the Win8 upgrade will not work either.
Oh - and there is no CD that was received from Systemax.- Edited by lockwoa1 Friday, November 9, 2012 10:50 PM

Hi Noel:
I hard wired to the internet and did an internet activation, which worked.
Thank you!

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Glad it worked - please post a new MGADiag report so we can check that all is now OK.
