Video/Audio Card Problems (Service Pack problem) RRS feed

  • Question

After updateing Service Pack for Vista, my audio stopped working.  After turning my computer off and starting it back up my audio card reconnected and I got my audio back. BUT, after trying to play some videos, the video glitches.  The audio and video get out of sync where the audio will play but the video keeps getting caught up.

Anyone know how to correct this?

    Thank You!

  • I figured out this is only problem with Windows Media player.

Any help to correct this is much appreciated.

  • I also get this message:

The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct 3D.

This message came up after installing service pack1.  I have a brand new   NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT card.

The video that plays in Windows Media player plays in slow motion while the audio plays at regular speed.
