I subscribed about 2 months ago and it is constantly warning me of time running out and I've gone to the link where you can check your subscription status and it varifies that I'm current. I have seven days to go and its more annoying than anything else but Im wondering if its gonna be a problem after the last day?

  • Hello JoeOtus, Have you activated One Care on your computer? To activate, open One Care and select "Subscribe" and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password used to purchase your subscription. Your subscription will be recognized and One Care will activate.

  • Hello Jim R1

My problem is very similiar to JoeOtus except I used a laptop for the one care program and I but renewed on my desktop and the money has been taken out of my bank for more than four days and it is on my bank statement.  However because I made the trans action of the desktop when I try to use the laptop it tries to make me renew again and because I use my T Mobile Wing as a Modum I can not seem to stay connected long enough to get the soft war started and as I said it keeps trying to get me to renew again. I use Norton on the desktop that is why I used  it uses Verizion DSL for internet connection. I can not find the web page to check and see if OneCare is even active because I do not use it on this computer my desktop. I even tiied to find a phone # I could call to try and get help with the problem.  Can you possiably help in any way.

  • On the laptop, even though it says that you need to renew, if it is on the same subscription, it simply needs to receive the updated credentials from the server side.

Renewal takes effect on the date that your current subscription expires and that it can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare if you are renewing within 30 days of expiration and 5 days if renewal was performed between 90 and 30 days before expiration.

     You can try the following:

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
