Windows Live and Skydrive

  • I have created a movie (using still photos) in Windows Live Movie Maker. I uploaded to SkyDrive and shared with my cousin.

He has XP operating system, I have Windows 7. He could not open the movie.

I re-sent in wmv format but still no luck.

Can he download anything from Microsoft download so he can view my movies?

He can see all my pics, but they are a generic format.

  • To upload the video to Windows Live SkyDrive, do the following:

    1. Go to, and sign in with your Windows Live ID. If you don’t have a Windows Live ID, click Sign up on the Windows Live page.
    2. Click Add files, then click the folder into which you want to upload the video, or click New folder.
    3. On the Add documents to page, enter the folder location of the presentation, or click Browse and browse for the folder location.
    4. Click Upload.
    5. On the upload confirmation page, you can send an e-mail message with a link to the video to those who you want to see the presentation video, or change the viewing permissions of the folder in which it is stored.
