Remote Desktop connection problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have two machines with Windows XP Professional SP3. I connect both using Remote Desktop from one too each other without problems. Currently I install .Net Framework 3 in both machines and the Remote Desktop stop working and the following Warning is show “The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway? ……” Even If I select “yes” I never connect to the other machine.

Some one is having the same problem? Any patch or fix for this?

  • If you don't need .Net 3 Framework try uninstalling it.

Otherwise uninstalling or upgrading 3rd party video card drivers on your WHS install could also do the trick.

Another option could be to add a registry key which increases the session image space, or to deselect use of local resources (printers) on the remote computer (local resources tab, available when you select options / advanced from the remote desktop login screen)
