  • Question

  • Hello, I have Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I would like to re install the 64 bit version on the same computer. I received the software through Dreamspark, through my school, and got 1 key but access to the 32 and 64 bit versions. If I re install the 64 bit version of Windows 7 on the same computer, with the same CD Key, It should activate ok and be considered genuine, right?  I wanted to ask and make sure i am thinking correctly, because if it will not work, then I will just stick to the 32 bit version. Thank you.

  • It should be OK - but you need to check with your school that they still have activations available on that Key for you to use. (I'm assuming that your Key is an MAK one here - issued by the school)

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.
