Install new hard drive with Intel Motherboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am replacing a dead hard drive on a Win7 64 bit.  The restore notices the ethernet drivers are not present.  I copied the files over to a thumb drive to no avail.  Trolling the boards leads me to know that we need the 32 bit drive for LAN to function.  However, Intel only has the drivers in a install format, not the actual file needed.  So where does one get the actual files for a DP55WB Intel board?  Or are there generic drivers that windows has for their products that will work?

If the extracted files are included as part of the Win7 x64 install, I could not find....

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Intel probably has instructions for preparing an "F6 floppy". Try that.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
