MapPoint 2013 locking up / not responding RRS feed

  • Question

  • Im trying to add territories to a map from an excel spreadsheet containing postcode sectors, but even after 30 minutes the progress bar hasn't gone up at all and it just says "Creating territories Please wait".

I doubt its ever going to finish, mappoint is using a lot of cpu but nothing seems to be using the hard drive much.

    I have a specific example of something that makes it lock up, an excel file with 10 postcode sectors :  N1 0, N1 1, N1 2, N1 3, N1 4, N1 5, N1 6, N1 7, N1 8, N1 9 all assigned to the same territory (nothing else in the file) makes it lock up.

If I just remove N1 0 and keep the other 9 it all works fine.

N1 0 seems to be a valid postcode sector, I can see it on the map, why does mappoint not like it?
