  • Some details please.

    Exactly what does "lost" mean?
Did the upgrade to Windows 10 alter your mny file?
Did you not back up all your data files before upgrading?
Which versions of money were you running before and after the upgrade?

  • Depending on how you upgraded, and how much space your system had free, you should find your old .mny data file in the C:/Windows.old directory.

If you have no external backups, what would you do if your hard drive failed?

  • To enlarge on other helpful answers, your data file will either have been called "msmoney.mny" or the name that you gave it at the time. One assumes from your brief entry that Money cannot find this file now. One hopes you will have a backup somewhere (DVD, flash drive?) but Dominic is right to observe that the file will be on your PC somewhere so search it out using the Windows 10 search box. Once you have its location you can use the Money 'Open' command.

When I installed MSMoney about a million years ago it created a folder called 'My Money' where all the files reside happily so far.
