Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Certification Upgrade Path

Question
-
Hi,
Does anyone know if there will be an upgrade path for people with CRM 4.0 certification? I ask because there seems to be little information on when the CRM 2011 exams will be available and I'd rather get started on my certification and upgrade later. Although if there is no upgrade path and the exams are due soon, I would probably hold back.
Cheers,
Adrian

Hi,
The exams are due out second quarter, so should be soon.
I have asked if there is an upgrade path, I will update as soon as I get a reply.
The reply I got was
'New exams will be available later in April and in May, and they're basically the same as 4.0'

No mention of upgrade path
Kind Regards,
Ozzy Geoff

There are no upgrade exams announced, so the exams available right now are the three 'core' exams same as CRM 4, ie Installation, Customisation, Applications.
There is very little information about the certification tracks available, ie if you are certified as MCITPro on CRM 4.0 what does it take to be MCITP on CRM 2011? Since there are no upgrade exams, and lots of the other associated technologies have also moved on (Exchange, SQL, .NET 4 Office, Windows server 2008R2 and Windows 7) it seems likely that you will have to start from scratch in any case.
More about the exams and what can be worked out about the certification tracks here:
MS Dynamics CRM 2011 Certification Tracks and Exams
There are MOC courses which map to taking these exams, as well as the just-announced Extending course which you can find out more about here:
