CRM for Windows Tablet App Error Trying to Access Access CRM 2015 Online RRS feed

  • I have the latest Dynamics CRM Tablet App for Windows 8.1. It connects successfully to my CRM Online Spring 14 instances. When I try to access my CRM 2015 Online instance I get a generic error message in the App. In the AppTracing event log I see this strange message:

    CONSOLE6002 : Dynamics CRM [PAL] | Error Message:System.TimeZoneNotFoundException: The time zone ID 'Coordinated Universal Time' was not found on the local computer.

       at System.TimeZoneInfo.FindSystemTimeZoneById(String id)

       at Microsoft.Crm.Core.Application.WebServices.ApplicationMetadataService.RetrieveUserContext(UserContextRetrieveRequest userContextRetrieveRequest)

    UTC is a standard timezone so (a) I don't understand why it can't find it (b) the same issue occurs on 2 Windows 8.1 PCs, so ruling out environment issues.

    Any clues on how to overcome this issue?

    The App version is 2.0.0.10 (1,1).
