inserting .jpg images in an outlook express email RRS feed

    When I insert a .jpg image in an email the image appears to be opened in the text body and is enormously magnified.  I don't want this image in the message. I only want to have a text message and the unopened inserted file.  I think I have tried everything in the tools menu, but nothing works.  How do I fix this problem?

    I have Windows XP, Explorer 8, and Outlook Express 6
