What determines what music is shown in the remote access main page? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi fols.  I can't determine what the requirements are for the remote music streaming availability when you log into the remote access window.  Where does the music need to be or what setting needs to be made for music to show up in this window?  Thanks.

  • Media has to be a supported (by Windows Home Server and Silverlight) container and codec.

Read the release notes and Getting Started Guide, both available from Connect. That will tell you what file types/codecs are supported.

These are MP3s. I know they are supported because I"m using thhem.  I'm trying to figure out where that music link looks to when you login remotely.

  • Shares selected as part of the Media Library (in the Dashboard) will be available for streaming.
