    I have a genuine copy of Windows Vista Ultimate

    I want to register it...

    But whenever i go to the page for registering it....it says Error on Page

     

    please guide me for the process

    Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

     

    1. Download and run the MGA Diagnostic Tool: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

     

    2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".

     

    3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post. http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/default.aspx?SiteID=25

     

    4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an appropriate solution.

    Hi Carey,

    Followed the discussion thread. I have a similar problem, but I don't think it has anything to do with Vista WGA. When I click on the registration link at the Welcom Center it takes me to an MS Web page with a link to the MS Vista registration site. The problem is that the URL doesn't work, and I get an IE Error:

    "Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly ..."

    Error on page

    Char 10

    Error The system cannot find the file specified

    I'm having the same difficulty, and the link above doesn't help.

     

    I've emailed Windows support - still waiting for a response.  Is there another way to validate/register Vista?

    The same thing I jus bought a HP laptop with windows home premiun 64 bits and when I access the webpage it show up and html error!! sending the info to WGA

    If your HP computer came preinstalled with Windows Vista, then you need to register with HP:
