How to use Team Source for version control for existing projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have VS 2017 Pro and have a number of projects in the default path C:\Users\jjacobs\Documents\Visual Studio 2017\Projects\<projectname>

I just started Team Source for my company MSDN subscription. I chose Team Services rather then GitHub. Now I am in one of my projects and I just don't see how to put the project source into source control. I selected TEAM > Manage Connections and I don't know where to go from here.

    How do I accomplish this?

    Thank you,

  • I guess I worded my question badly. The link shows about converting TFS to VSTS. I believe VSTS is what I have. I just need to know how to check in my existing projects.

  • This is "where is" forum for direction on where best to ask questions. The VSTS MSDN forums were archived and discussions moved to SO, so I'd re-ask over here.

  • Yes, this is a where is forum. I am totally surprised to find a Microsoft product, VSTS, supported in a non-Microsoft forum. Oh, well.

  • Used to be on MSDN, but that one was archived and discussions moved.
