70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Development Foundation RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to write the following exam for MCPD (Windows Developer 3.5 on Visual Studio 2008)
Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Development Foundation

But I read the following lines in Microsoft website
If you are a .NET 2.0 developer, you do not need to learn .NET 3.5 to pass Exam 70-536; conversely, if you are a .NET 3.5 developer, you do not need to review .NET 2.0 to pass the exam.

I'm .NET 3.5 developer, how do I prepare and write exam. Where I need to differentiate I'm going to write exam for 3.5  not 2.0.. Please help me. I look forward for your helps.

    Thanks and Regards, Bharath S.

  • Hi Bharath,

What you read was right. 70-536 Exam is Framework Version Independent, which means, they will not ask you any question which is Framework version 2.0 or 3.5 related.

Check Niall’s Blog for some valuable input.

  • Hi Bharath,

as far as I know, there was no change in the basics. But Microsoft updates the exams to match the latest technology and the self-paced training kit was published in a new edition. But when I compared the contents of the books, I saw no big difference so yes: I would go and try the exam.

Just try to get a second shot voucher so in case you miss something and fail you have a free 2nd try.

    With kind regards,

    Konrad

  • Thanks a lot Rubel Khan.

So they will ask only common questions about 2.0 & 3.5.

Already I've prepared for the exam 70-536: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation. Now Shall I go ahead to take the exam?...

I look forward forward for your reply.
