So, I am considering replacing my windows media center machine with WHS, largely because I really use my WMC machine as a server, and not a media center... Duh.
But here is my question...
If my system has a graphics card and sound card, will I be able to connect WHS to my HDTV (as I do with WMC) and play music from Windows Media Player? scott
Hi Scott, the current version of Windows Home Server is focussed on client backups and file sharing. Multimedia usage is not supported (besides playback from shared folders on server), although practiced by some users. So no, Windows Home Server is not what you want for your purposes. Best greetings from Germany Olaf
