WHS 2011 homeserver.com Dyndns service keeps assigning a local ip (192.168.xx.xx) instead of my real ip RRS feed

  • Question

  • My WHS 2011 recently updated my "myserver.homeserver.com" dyndns address to a local ip 192.168.yy.yy. This is not the same as the one I assigned statically from my router 192.168.xx.xx.

My infrastructure is very simple modem <-> router <-> WHS. It has been working fine until very recently, it started assigning a local address. The page on Server settings -> Remote web access shows the correct ip address and I can access my WHS 2011 using the ip address. Only the ip is updated wrongly.

Anyone knows why or have a solution? I have tried rebooting (server, modem, router), releasing domain and taking it back, changing domain names, changing live accounts. Nothing works.
