buttons should work a little differently RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • NoReplyAll should work slightly differently. Right now if I disable reply, but there is only 1 addressee, the recipient can still reply all, and it will reach me. It should automatically engage "disable reply all" if there is only a single addressee.

All replies

  • Interesting idea. Or what about, slightly easier to implement: regardless of the number of users, if the user disables reply, then automatically disable reply-all - that would achieve the same thing, wouldn't it? (Except for the case where you want to encourage all replies to go to everyone and not have "private" replies.)

Actually, thinking about this a bit more: what looks like a single "to" address could map on to multiple people, so it's not actually easily detectable within Outlook that the message has been sent to just a single person, so I don't think I can rely on that as a signal - but the other idea of linking the two buttons might work.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll think about it a bit more and add it (or something like it) to my todo list but no promises about when I have a chance to implement it.
