Your MGA report shows that your Microsoft software is 100% genuine. Are you having a particular issue?Friday, March 14, 2008 2:48 AM

Yes when I try to download a template in Word it tells me to validate and then it says it is not a genuine product and will not allow me to download the template.Friday, March 14, 2008 3:27 PM
-
Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/office/WhyValidate.aspx
and click on Validate Office. Does it pass validation? If not,
what error message is displayed?

Hello Tim,
This is due to the trial version of the Home and Student Office Suite you have installed on your machine, once you uninstall this it should resolve your issues. If you are still having problems after this, please rerun the MGA diagnostic tool and repost the results.
Thank you,
Matt Prall, MS

Yes it passes validation then it tells me it is not a genuine version. Additionally I am not using a trial version it is a full version loaded from a disk.Friday, March 14, 2008 6:40 PM

Hello Tim,
The MGA report is reporting this as a trial version as it was not installed with a product key, if this is not the case I would highly suggest removing all copies of Office from your system and reinstalling your copy. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Matt Prall, MS

Hi Matt,
I did what you suggested and I still have the same problem. Could the pre-installed Microsoft Works be casuing the problem?
T.Friday, March 14, 2008 7:34 PM -
Hello Tim,
That shouldn't cause an issue, can you please rerun the MGA diagnostic tool and post the results here.
Thank you,
Matt Prall, MS
