No W Drive in Send to Menu RRS feed

  • Question

  • In advancing my very basic Windows 7 knowledge one step at a time I have decided upon a grand plan to add my storage drive to the send to menu. This is no biggie as I am able to use the cut/copy and paste method but it would be nice to have the simpler option available.

After reading at least half a dozen forum entries referring to use of the shift key I eventually mastered the technique of 1 right clicking an icon 2 depressing the shift key and then left clicking "send to" while this is still depressed. This brought up several new options but not the W drive as a destination.

As I entered my subject while making this post the following link flashed up as a related topic. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/0d814e12-ec33-4ab4-be40-d88ef10e52fa

I have seen another reference to a "roaming" command to edit this menu but both authors seem to assume a given level of knowledge. I would be grateful if someone could describe how to add my W drive to the send to menu on a click by click basis.

    Many thanks in anticipation.

  • Hello MrGig,

Best to ask this type of general question at http://answers.microsoft.com then choose W7.
