VLK not valid as Genuine key after format RRS feed

    I just formatted my PC due to extreme corruption from Viruses and Trojans and back then my VLK was validated as a Genuine Product Key, now when i tryed to update my Key using the update tool, it states that my product key is already in use or has been used previously (duh by me...). Geez i hope i didnt waste $$$ for a legit Windows XP Pro SP2 copy thats not going to get Validated, this is lame... Can anyone help me out here, its ANNOYING like theres no tomorrow!

    The VLK was used with a unattended.txt, update tool (so i could use my legit vlk) didnt work, it just stated my legit key was already in use or had been used previously... Man if there is no fix for this, im never purchasing an OS or application from MicroSoft, i personally HATE wasting money.

    A "Blocked VLK" is a Volume License Key that is valid, but was licensed solely to a corporation or larger enterprise/business. Blocked VLK's are Product Keys that Microsoft has received consent from the original owner to block usage of. A VL Product Key is non-transferrable to individuals. In order to resolve your non-genuine licensing issue, please visit: www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on "Validate Windows". When validation fails, you'll see a button to click on which will provide information on how to acquire a WGA Kit.

    Trastamad,

    If you had a nongenuine installation of XP, then genuine-ized it with a WGA Kit emailed Product Key and the Product Key Updater Utility, and then reformatted and reinstalled the nongenuine XP and then tried to use the genuine Product Key and the Key Updater utility once more, that will result in the error message "Product Key already in use" that you have seen.

     

    The Key Updater Utility is intended to be used only once with a genuine Product Key as a stopgap measure to get you back to being Genuine.  In your circumstances, you will have to wait until the WGA Kit genuine XP CDROM arrives in the mail, and at that point you can do a clean installation using your emailed Product Key and the genuine hologrammed XP CDROM.
