Few Query's Regarding CRM 2011 Migration. RRS feed

    Hi,

    We are planning to Migrate from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011, we have some queries regarding the Migratiion.

    1) what happens if we wont map the existing user. still it get created or not?

    2) What happens to the recrods created by the user who was not mapped/Migrated to crm 2011, does the records will be migrated with the same user name or other user name.

    3) what happens if we map the existing user with new user. Does it updatesl the transaction reocrds with the new user for owner field/modified field etc..

    It's strange but it will create those users. I just upgraded one of my clients database to crm2011 in my environment. I just map the deployment user but It created all those users and kept the existing owners even though those users does not even exist in my active directory.

    I think this also answer your second question.

    Yes it will.
