Difference between MCSE Server Infrastructure and MCSE Data Platform??? RRS feed

  • I'm interested in server/client thing.My Q is what's the difference between MCSE Server Infrastructure and MCSE Data Platform??? & which one deals with server/client? I see SQL server many times in job description & I want to learn about SQL server as well.....Which one deals with SQL server???

    I've knowledge about server/client but I don't have MCSA, I've city & guilds ICT Systems Support Level 3 qualification which deals with server/client. I did server 2003 & win xp (I do have good knowledge about win 7)..will I be allowed to do MCSE ???

    Plzzz answer these two questions...thnxxx

  • Hello Chris,

    MCSE Server Infrastructure would be the "standard" server(/client) certification, the MCSE Data Platform is only about SQL Server. For both of them you will be taking 5 exams, after finishing the "first three" (e.g. 70-410, 70-411 and 70-412 for Server Infrastructure) you will be an MCSA, there is no need be an MCSA before starting the MCSE certification.
