    Question

  • I am performing Performance Analysis for an application

we have  deployed Asp.net application in my local system (windows 7 32 bit) and I am trying to perform a performance and diagnostic using VS 2013 ultimate version for the deployed application.

The application responds with below mentioned error

“The web site could not be configured correctly; getting ASP.NET process information failed. The server may not be running a version of Asp.Net version 2.0 or greater. Requesting
‘http://localhost/ct3/VSEnterpriseHelper.axd; returned an error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.”

    Please provide the solution.

  • Hi Subramanya,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

Since the issue is related to the VS Debugger, we will move this case to the Visual Studio Diagnostics (Debugger, Profiler, IntelliTrace) forum, you will get dedicated support from the debugger experts.

    Best Regards,

Please make sure that whether it is the IIS setup issue like this thread I met before:

Please also refer to this blog which shared the other possible reasons which generate the above error when profile the web site.
