MS Dynamics CRM 2013 - On Save Issue - form reloads to a blank form when saving RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are facing two issues in our 2013 CRM when saving a new record and existing record:

    1) On Save, it reloads the form to a blank form (even though the record is actually created)

    2) On Save, the form asks if you want to leave this page, as there are changes that has not been saved (See attached image).

For both instances, the record is actually either created or updated but the popup messages and the reloading of the form to a blank form confuses our CRM user.

Has anyone faced this issue before and how have they resolved it? Do you have any advise on how to approach these issues?

  • If you clicked New.... then the answer is in the wording.

In CRM 4 and CRM 2011 it was named "Save and New". In CRM 2013 it is only named "New".

Clicking the New button will just create a new record... not save the one you are on.

  • Hi RuneDaub,

You're right in terms of it's behaving like the "Save and New" just like in CRM 2011 and CRM4!

Unfortunately, we are all clicking the "Save" button!

Could I be missing something really obvious here?

  • Same issues with CRM 2015.

    1. Fill the form
    2. Click "Save" button
    3. The record will be created
    4. New blank form is presented

I look forward for any help
