Robocopy Log file question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using a Robocopy GUI 3.1.2.0 command script with Windows Scheduler to copy/sync a client PC folder to a WHS shared folder.

For logging I am using the /V (verbose) switch and the /NP (Turns off copy progress indicator).  After Robocopy runs and I look in the Robocopy Logs folder the folder is empty.

Will someone please explain where the log files appear when using these switches?

Do I need to use log switches at all?

    Thanks!

Answers

  • Try:

    /LOG:file.txt
Replace file.txt with the status of the run.
    /LOG+:file.txt
Append the status of the run to file.txt.

    All command line switches
