Blue Screen and Explorer Crashes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a new install of Vista Ultimate 64bit on a new hardware build.

I have installed current versions of all drivers (from ASUS web site) and MS update reports there are no updates to apply.

When I connect to a network drive it authenticates OK - but first click into the directory tree and Visa Blue screens. On re-boot it sends the error log but there are no "fixes" reported back.

When browsing with IE it continually restarts the event log reports the faulting module as MSHTML.dll

I am Getting "Host Process for Windows Services Stopped working and was closed" from time to time - usually soon after start up.

When accessing Control panel or other explorer functions Explorer regularly re-starts reporting the faulting moduel as BROWSEUI.dll

Vista diagnostic reports works all working well except one P&P device which appears to the IPv6 tunnel service which I have disabled.

    This makes the system useless!!!!!

Asus P5K-VM Motherboard with on board Intel Graphics
    Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8200
4GB Corsair Ram  (passes many runs of the vista memory checker)

    Help Please!!!!!
