Disk Protection - global control or per user? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I wanted to setup disk protection on my home computer which a number of people use.  If I enable disk protection will it effect all users including admins or just user accounts that are created within the Steady State interface?

    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Hi Steve,

Windows Disk Protection (WDP) protects the whole partition from each write access. To protect one (non admin)account, you can lock it.

Yes, it affects all users on the computer and only administrator account is given the permission to save changes to the computer.
