Windows Live One Care Backup cannot continue -No space, but there is plenty of space RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows Live one care on Vista.
The hard dive in the computer uses 78 gig, has 139 gig free.
Trying to run the backup to an external harddive with 156 gig free.

The backup seems to complete but I get a message that says that
    "Backup cannot continue

There is not enough free space to prepare your files for backup. Free some space on your hard disk( for example , by running Tune-up) and then try again.

It seems to me that there should be plenty of disk space on either of the hard drives.

Tried a manual backup - this seems to work, but would like to get One care to handle this.

The One care back up report that the Onecare completed the backup of your files on date. It would appear that the back up completed successfully but one care still indicates that a backup is needed.
