offline scenario without sql ce

Hi,

Can I have an offline scneario with client not being SQL CE (but some other source) and server being SQL server? Does Sync framework support this out of the box, or I have to write code for that. In a way I need a Service architecture at client side. My clients can be of different types and don't have SQL CE, but server will always be SQL.

if it is possible any samples will be of great help.

Sync Framework uses providers at each party participating in sync. For offline scenario, there is only one client provider out of the box which is for SQLCE (there is a sample for SQLExpress though). that being said, you will have to build your own providers for the client side. You can refer to the SQLExpressClientSync provider sample to get an idea what needs to be done to create a custom provider.
