  • Hello Bhuma,

Why don't you use a backup maintenance plan for your MSCRM database?

  • Hi Bhuma,

when you delete any CRM record it is always soft delete at first for example if you delete account and then CRM system just updates the Deletionstatecode column in Accounttable to be 2.

so when you do following query you will be able to see this record.

select * from accountbase where deletionstatecode = 2

Now all the records marks with statecode 2 gets delete daily using SQL Job called HardDelete , you should be able to see this job if you login to SQL server and got SQL Agent -> Jobs..

so what ever you need is already there if you want to maintain deleted record for two days, I guess you can change freqency of this SQL job to run every two days..

    Hope this helps..

  • Bhuma,

Be advised that in CRM 2011 records are not marked for deletion and then deleted later, they are deleted immediately from the database.

  • Dear Kgorczewski,

Your exactly right it is like recyclebin in crm4.0, but the deleted should be stored for only 2 or 3 days after that the data is automatically deleted.

So this is my requirement, any help?

    Thank you,
