CRM at remote site - remote authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to figure out the best way to plan this environment.

    • We have on premise Active Directory and users at Site A
    • We want to build a CRM server in a data center at remote Site B
    • We need users in Site A to authenticate with their AD credentials to the CRM resources in Site B
    • We don't want to replicate the global catalog from Site A to Site B

What is the best way to accomplish this?  If we used Azure AD, do we need to use ADFS?  The customer we're working with hasn't mentioned if they're using CRM 2011 or 2013.

If we used ADFS, should we use a proxy?  Would we have ADFS at Site A, and another ADFS server at Site B with a proxy?  How can we plan for redundancy?
