  • It happens to me sometimes, usually when it happens(with me), this occurs but when i refresh my page my vote already counted, so i think your probably already voted, try refresh a page and see.

  • I see that the votes count increased, but it is not in green, so it doesn't look like it was my vote. However, I tried again and got the same error again.

  • When i try, my vote count increased, but it keeps saying Vote as Helpful, instead Already voted, so if i try again then i'll got this same error as yours. But i don't think that errors occurs only in the old threads, i already got this problem sometimes in new threads, most of them in C# General or C# Language.

  • So, this is a bug, but not exactly clear yet how to reproduce it reliably. Perhaps it was my vote that increased that count.

Is it possible that this error occurs on moved threads? (That thread was moved).

  • Maybe yes, but this bug stills sounds confuse, since this error can happen with the new threads too, maybe is more susceptible in threads that was moveds or maybe mergeds.

  • I can duplicate it on the thread I posted. I am using Google Chrome. I tested in IE9 and there is the same problem. Apparently my voice took place, but I still see 'Vote as Helpful' title on that thread and clicking on that vote button always results in the 'Unexpected error'

  • So, it worked for you and the message changed to "Already Voted", right? BTW, I got 5 points now (I guess you also got them) because of that thread.

  • Now this kind of error, is happening every time, each thread(be her new or a old one), in the moment that i vote, it work perfectly, when i leave the thread, and back again, the post that i voted, is incremented(it working), but always show Vote as Helpful, and if i click, will throw 'Unexpected error'.

  • Hi All !

Again i find the thread, which has Helpful votes included, but its showing me '0' Helpful votes when i see the thread. Please confirm with the Profile Activity of Naomi and Richard Muller they both have contributed Helpful posts on thread

Voting on the old posts - doesn't work?

So i think issue is only with the visibility of Helpful votes. Need this can be confirmed as bug.

Now adding little more to content. As soon as i voted one of the post in this thread as Helpful i am able to see all Helpful votes.

Please let me know if this doesn’t work for you. Hope I have answered you correctly.

    Thanks, Hasham Niaz

  • I tried again and got the same error. I voted another Itzik post in this thread, but I am unable to vote the very first post.

  • BTW, I am curious how long does it usually take to fix a bug?
