Sync Toy 2.1 looses folder pairs on win7 64 bit

Question
-
When I create several folder pairs to contribute, they run fine as expected (Shows in log too). When I exit synctoy 2.1 and restart it all folder pairs are missing except for the first one.
I can recreate the pairs but they are gone after I exit synctoy 2.1 and start it again. I had a bunch of .net updates from for windows7 last week.

Hi Doug, just wanted to confirm for you that uninstallation + deleting the leftover files did the trick. Ran the uninstaller, rebooted, ran a program like CCleaner, removed the SyncToy folder located in AppData/Local/Microsoft, then reinstalled the x64 version. It's now working just fine with no problems, and I've been able to readd all my old folder pairs and have it save them successfully. Which is great, because this is like the best syncing tool ever IMO. Life is good. :)

Actually I found the one remaining folder pair is an old one that I deleted. I can delete it fine but it is back whin I restart sync toy. While deleted before exit there is a grayed out folder pair I didn't make. I uninstalled sync toy and reinstalled. Same problem. Must be some data stashed someplace that is not deleted when I uninstall.Doug

I'm having the exact same problem. SyncToy worked perfectly when I installed it about 6 months ago, but when I tried making a new folder pair a week or so ago it would be erased after I closed/restarted the program. All of the original pairs are still in place and working fine. Does anyone have any insight into this? I'll probably attempt to uninstall/reinstall the program if no one has any suggestions, in which case I'll post an update here to indicate whether or not it helped.

A question: "Are you running the 64 bit version?"

I'm running win 7 64 bit. I have tried uninstall and re install and it did not help. I also may have caused a problem caused by installing it on my new win 7 64bit system and copying my data files to the new pc with the hidden sync toy files in the data root directorys used in synctoy on the old system.
My next move will be to uninstall sync toy and delete any/all files and folders sync toy leaves behind in program files folder and APP Data folder. Then delete the hidden sync toy files in my data directorys. Then reinstall.
Been on vacation and have not had time to try this yet.

I un hid all files and deleted anything that had "syncToy" as well as leftover folders and files you sugested after uninstalling. Also deleted the SyncToy files in the folder pairs. Ran a registry cleaner too.
I started from scratch with new empty folders on my sync backup target. All is well so far.
