Another 'Move Thread' problem? RRS feed

Answers

  • Yes, (Hi Ronnie), I apologize for that.

I knew about the Project Server one and intended to go to the Windows 7 forum to find it and apologize (as I can't move from Win 7) but something came up (or someone with a question I suspect) and I forgot completely about it.

I presume the same thing happened with the second one too (for which I equally apologise).

I can explain what happened in that first case because I saw it happen.

    -------------------

I selected Move To and correctly selected the Off-Topic forum and clicked on Submit.

    So far so good.

Then I got the infamous 500 page and had to go back in the browser and re-do the Submit.

That gave the 500 page again and so I went back in the browser again to repeat (rather irritated by now because I have better things to do) and once again clicked Submit only this time the cursor was still on its way to the Submit button and so it selected the Windows 7 forum (visible in the Move box) I presume and then without noticing this I finally reached the Submit button and clicked on that.

At that point (having already clicked Submit) I noticed that the Windows 7 forum had been selected but this time (Murphy's law!) I didn't get a 500 page and the Move went through.

    ------------------

So my mistake but provoked by all the 500 errors we've been having recently.

Again my apologies. Could you please move them to Off-topic now ?

P.S. Good job you wrote "Hi, Mike" otherwise I wouldn't have connected this one to me ....

  • Hi Mike

Thanks for the quick reply and sorry my reply is so late. :)

I was going to move those threads, but wanted to wait, just in case it was a forum bug.

I moved the 2 messages this morning.

I understanmd about those 500 errors, they were hard to deal with, but they all appear to be gone now.

    Regards,
