The last few days my Dell Inspiron 1525 has been freezing up...initially in hibernation mode, but when I turned off hibernation it started occurring anytime about 15-20 minutes into a session. I've tried running my antivirus program but it gets hung up when it starts scanning c: windows/system32/drivestore/file repository. I did a registry cleaning and that didn't work. I downloaded Windows LiveOne Care safety scan and the same thing happens...the computer freezes during the scan of the drive storage.
I'm not sure if I have a driver problem and I need to reboot my driver disk, or if I have a virus. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks...
