    Hi All,

With windows XP pro sp2, during windows startup on blue screen, it said "please wait ...while windows starting up" screen is taking more than 1 minute.

But when get into desktop, it tooks only less than 5 seconds to finish load up the rest of programs.

Is there any other way I can tweak this to improve its performances?

    Thanks

Windows taking too load to booting up.

It come till very 1st screen Widows is starting…………..  & then there no hard disk or any another activity get almost hang over there.

Previously Windows was booting in 1 min. time. Now it take more then 3 min.

There are no additional services or program getting loaded with Window.

Even tried to use msconfig  booted using diagnostic mode. But same time.

In safe mode also where only minimum services are getting started face same issue.

Have done complete virus scan also.

Previously also had same problem so reformatted pc, work fine for few days and again same problem.

My PC is dual boot have another copy of Windows on another drive, which is working fine.

I have the same problem, on another Forum someone suggested it may be a corrupted user account, I created a new one and that did not work.

What I have noticed is that everytime I boot a a log file named WindowsUpdate.log is updated.  The data in the file is telling me that it took svchost.exe 50 seconds to look to install updates every time I start the machine. This is aproximately the same time the blue screen hangs.

This is a bug that microsoft needs to fix. There was a fix for it in the past but it looks like has been undone!
