Another CRM Contacts to Outlook sync issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are trying to get every contact in CRM to sync to the one primary user's Outlook, not just one's he owns.

I've looked at most solutions posted for sync issues and most seem to imply that by creating a field in the Contact form (mine is a binary SyncToOutlook) and using this field in the sort for My Local Data in the MS Outlook CRM Client will make it work.  I've used multiple record edit to set this value to Yes for all 6502 Contacts (this is a CRM admin users) and when I tell Outlook to Sync with CRM (I've moved all his previous Contacts to new folder so Contacts is blank) it will run the sync and say Preparing to Sync but then only finds 1502 contacts and will sync all them fine.  I can't get the others to sync for anything.

I'm using CRM 4.0 On Premise with a local Exchange Server.  CRM Update Rollup 13 is applied to both server and client.

  • Does the user have read access to the contacts from security? You can share read access.
