  • Hi Laura,

As you mentioned windows xp was reinstalled on the system. What exactly happens here is if a complete format reinstallation or a parallel installation is done in either cases system drivers disappears from the hard drive. So please follow these steps and check if there are any yellow bangs in the Device Manager.

Click on Start > click on Run > and then type devmgmt.msc and click Ok.

Once the Device Manager opens you view all the installed hardware components on the system.

Also make sure after windows xp installation the follow Device Drivers are to be installed in a sequence

    1>     Chipset

2>     Rhico or Intel Matrix if applicable for the system.

3>     Desktop or Notebook system software

    4>     Video or Graphic driver

    5>     Audio or Sound driver

    6>     Network driver

7>     Wireless driver if any followed by your other applications.
