Updated Windows 7 Last night and now I get a message saying "this copy of windows is not genuine"

Question
-
I have had this computer, which came with windows 7 preinstalled, and have had no problems even when updating but last night I installed a new priority update from Microsoft and now when I attempt to log in the only thing that appears on the screen is in the bottom right corned where it says "Build 7601 This copy of windows is not genuine." I can (and currently am) get into windows safe mode, however I cannot do anything about the problem from here. I have a product key, and I was able to activate windows when I initially got the computer no problem. I have no idea what I need to do at all and but I need to get this computer working again. Thanks.

Hmm - it's very unusual to be locked out of Normal Mode in Win 7 because of just a non-genuine issue.I suspect something else is happening as well.I would suggest that you try using System Restore to go back about 4 days - see if that cures it.If it does, then the first thing to do is to check for malware using an updated Anti-Virus (full scan) and a decent anti-malware application such as Malwarebytes Anti Malware (Free version - do NOT activate the real-time protection! - www.malwarebytes.org) again, run a full system scan once you've installed and updated it.

I'm having the same problem after installing all the new (June 14 and/or 15) security updates (both Windows 7 and Office 2003 / 2007). In my case, I get error code 0xC004E002 during initial load of the desktop after login, and error code 0x8004E10E when I try to validate after entering my correct product key.
I've seen in other forums that slui 4 can be used to get a contact number to report the problem, but for me that displays a dialog with choices: Buy key, Enter new key, and Contact Lenovo.
Given that I seriously doubt Lenovo has anything to do with this problem, I didn't try contacting them.
I also tried a system restore to remove the updates, and it initially worked (my normal desktop was displayed), but after a few minutes it decided it wasn't genuine windows and went back to black background with the same message as squirrelfire has.
I also ran MGADiag and got the following. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I do not want to have to wipe the drive on this computer and start over!

Please repost your report to your OWN NEW thread - your problem is quite different, and will only confuse in this one.

Noel, I did not feel that it was different since we both got the 'not genuine' message immediately after installing the latest security updates. I hoped that the additional information I was providing would help determine the cause. However, I will open a new thread per your request.
