HPC 2016. Set user permissions for jobs RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows 2012 R2 installation and HPC 2016 Update 1. Cluster is working very well but...

    1) I added Domain users like USER ROLE in cluster.

    2) I created custom Job template and set some permissions for this template (for example, Domain users - Submit is Deny). But any domain users have access to submit job to cluster. Those permissions don't work.

    3) When I choose Job template (tab Configuration-> Job Templates.)Mmnu item "Set permissions" in right side is innactive. It's normal for HPC 2016?

    Thank you.

  • Hi iurii_m,

Yes, this is normal for HPC Pack 2016. In order to support High Availability head nodes, the job template permission check is bypassed temporarily. We will redesign this part with Azure AD integration in future releases.
