As far as LISTENING to your music from the WAN (internet), that cannot be achieved directly from the WHS itself, nor from the remote access page. You will be able to VIEW all of your music files if you copy them to the WHS "Music" share. But to listen to them, you would have to download each song before you listen, which would be slow and impractical.

An alternative I would suggest would be myorb (www.orb.com). They allow you to access your media from any internet connected browser. Do some research on that if thats what you are looking for.

As far as syncing your ipod, you will only be able to do this from LAN, not WAN. I too own an ipod touch, and store ALL of my music on my WHS "Music" share and told itunes to build my library from that directory. Itunes could care less if the music is on your local computer, or a network share, so syncing and everything works perfect and you dont have to take up space on your client PC.

    Brief summary...
-Look into the orb service for remote access to your media (or just carry your ipod with you everywhere like I do)
    - I would move all my music from the client to the WHS "music" share for remote access and to save space on client
    - Dont try to sync your ipod from WAN
