Reactivation: Blocked VLK 2

Question
-
So I uninstalled/reinstalled my graphics card drivers and when I restarted I was given 3 days to reactivate Windows due to gross hardware changes. So I try and open the Activate Windows program but it just loads a blank window. So I do a little googling, come across here and I run MGADiag and find that I have "114 blocked vlk 2". Further googling shows me that this error is due to a volume key leak, ie an illegal copy.
A few years back my original HD died, and I sent it back to the store and they put in a new HD and installed XP on it (not using the original, authentic CD I have now and have had since I first got the computer) so is that the problem?
A few days ago I got XP Pro through the MSDNAA and once I get the serial from e-academy I'll be erasing my HD and starting from scratch, but what am I to do in the mean time? I have 1 day left to register my XP home and don't know how long until I get the XP Pro serial...
Help...?

Brad,
It appears Windows install is okay but the Version of Office is a blocked VLK. If the repair location installed a different version and/or disc without using your product key this could be a cause for the blocked VLK. I recommending going back to the location and explaining the situation and tell them to reaccomplish their work using the correct product key or refund your monies. Also you can file a piracy report if your interested.

Bradc1988,
Right now your Windows XP Home installation is in a "not actvated" state. And since the Activation Wizard is experiencing problems, you are having trouble activating.
Please follow the steps in this MS KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314935/en-us, which are designed to address the specific problem you are seeing, a blank activation wizard window.
Post back to let us know if it worked for you
